What Are Concord's Winter Parking Rules?

CONCORD, MA – When the first snowfall hits, you don't want to be left out in the cold – pun very much intended.

Concord's winter parking ban went into effect last month, and will cease April 1.

Here's a look at the town by-law prohibiting overnight street parking during the winter months:

No person shall allow, permit or suffer any vehicle registered in his name, other than one acting in an emergency, to be parked on any street for a period of time longer than one (1) hour between the hours of 1:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M. of any day during the months of November, December, January, February and March.

Municipalities in Massachusetts often have special parking rules, or ban overnight parking altogether, during the winter in order to ensure the streets are clear for snow cleanup.
