World Day of Prayer Service: 11 AM, Friday, March 6 in Concord

Concord churches join together for ecumenical service at Trinity Episcopal Church.

Friday, March 6, is designated as the World Day of Prayer, and will be celebrated with an ecumenical service at 11 AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 81 Elm Street in Concord.

This year Zimbabwe is the country for special focus, designated by the 170 countries which participate in the annual World Day of Prayer. This ecumenical service has been written by the women of Zimbabwe. Trinity's World Day of Prayer Committee — Jace Tilton, Patricia Kent, and Arthur Walker — has worked with the Organizing Committee from Concord's Holy Family Parish, led by Sandra Mueller, to produce this annual event. This year is Holy Family’s turn to host the event, but because of construction on their building, Holy Family Parish has asked Trinity to host the 2020 production of World Day of Prayer.

World Day of Prayer services have been held in the faith communities of Concord and Carlisle for decades, as women and men of our area towns join us to pray and work for, to hear and help the annually designated Country of the 170 WDP member countries.
