2 Injured In Danvers Overnight Fire On Locust Street: Reports

A resident and a firefighter were taken to the hospital for minor injuries, according to the reports.

DANVERS, MA — One firefighter and a Locust Street resident were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries early Tuesday morning as Danvers fire crews knocked down an overnight fire that brought heavy smoke to the neighborhood.

According to multiple media reports, the fire reached the first and second stories of the Locust Street home before crews knocked it down.

Officials said in a statement that fire damage was contained to the rear of the building but that the whole building sustained smoke and water damage.

A resident was brought to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation, while a firefighter was treated and released.
