3 Doo-Woop Classic Bands To Play 205th Topsfield Fair
The Drifters, The Platters and Cornell Gunter's Coasters will perform on the Grandstand Stage on Oct. 4.

DANVERS, MA — Three doo-woop and classic rock n' roll bands that originated in the late 1950s and 1960s are the latest additions to the musical lineup of the 205th Topsfield Fair.
The Drifters, The Platters and Cornell Gunter's Coasters will perform together on Oct. 4 on the Grandstand Stage at 7 p.m. The show is free with admission to the Fair.
The triple bill joins rock classics Starship and Foghart, as well as country star Clay Walker, as part of the musical lineup for the Fair that runs from Sept. 29 through Oct. 9.

The Drifters' litany of hits includes "Under the Boardwalk" and "This Magic Moment," with the Coasters performing "Yakety Yak" and The Platters known for "Only You."
"It's always fun to have classic groups perform at the Topsfield Fair," said Topsfield Fair General Manager James O'Brien. "However, to have three iconic groups perform on the same stage on the same night is going to be extra special."

Ticket prices for the 2023 Topsfield Fair are $20 each every day. Discount admission tickets, which are good any day during the Fair's 11-day run, are available here for $15 each plus a $2.25 convenience fee per ticket.
A three-day pass, good any three days, is available for $42 plus a $3.50 convenience fee. Children under eight with an adult are free with an adult admission ticket.
Discounted ride tickets are also available when purchased in advance here.
