Accused Danvers Meth Dealer Held On $10,000 Bail

Police believe Matthew Pendola was a runner for a dealer who is the target of an investigation by Danvers and Beverly Police.

DANVERS, MA -- Detectives from the Danvers and Beverly Police Departments are continuing to investigate a suspected methamphetamine. Police in arrested Matthew Pendola, 30, of 23 Prince Street in Danvers, Friday after arranging a purchase with a dealer than have been investigating since last month. Investigators believe Pendola was working as a runner for the dealer.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, Pendola was ordered held on $10,000 bail after his arraignment Tuesday on a charge of trafficking methamphetamine. If convicted, Pendola faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 3 1/2 years.
