All Saints North Shore Launches Love Over Hate: Fundraising Page to Help Rebuild Torched Churches in South
North Shore Church seeks to help raise dollars to help rebuild four predominantly Black churches that were torched in the south

All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore is joining with Bishop Alan M. Gates and Bishop Gayle E. Harris and congregations and individuals in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts to raise dollars for the four predominantly black churches that were burned down by arsonists in June, part of a clear attempt to strike a blow at the heart of the black community.
All Saints, which has already raised $250 so far, invites friends and neighbors to help rebuild these buildings -- houses of worship AND centers of ministry for their communities.
Money raised through this effort will be divided equally among Glover Grove Baptist Church in Warrenville, S.C., College Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church in Knoxville, Tenn., Briar Creek Baptist Church in Charlotte, N.C., and God’s Power Church of Christ in Macon, Ga. Others will be added to the distribution list if necessary, according to Christ Church Cathedral (Episcopal) in St. Louis, the catalyst for the “Rebuild the Churches” fund.
