Ambrose Sworn in as Police Chief

Patrick Ambrose was appointed to the position in March.

Danvers, MA - It's official. Patrick Ambrose was sworn in as Danvers Police Chief on Thursday night.

Last month, Town Manager Steve Bartha announced that Ambrose has been appointed the Chief of Police in Danvers. Ambrose has been serving as Acting Chief of Police since May 2015.

Chief Ambrose started his career with the Danvers Police Department in 1985 as a Reserve Officer and was appointed as a full time Officer in 1987. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1999, Lieutenant in 2003 and had been a Captain since 2005.
