DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents who use Conant Street should plan for an overnight road closure Wednesday as the Department of Public Works completes infrastructure repairs tied to an earlier water main break.
A portion of Conant Street from Alden Street to Franklin Street will be closed beginning at 10 p.m. The work is connected to a previous water main break, and the city said the closure is needed so crews can finish the repair work.
Detours will be in place during the closure. Police details will also be on site to help motorists move through the area and manage traffic around the work zone.
Residents were asked to avoid the area if possible while the repairs are underway.
