DANVERS, MA — Danvers will host a public ceremony next month to honor Purple Heart recipients and dedicate the town's Purple Heart Monument.
The event is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at Danvers Town Hall on Aug. 7.
The ceremony is being held "dedicated to honoring Purple Heart recipients." The event will include the official dedication of the Purple Heart Monument at Town Hall.
"All are welcome as we come together to recognize and honor the brave individuals who have sacrificed so much in service to our country," town officials said.
The Purple Heart is awarded to members of the U.S. military who were wounded or killed in service.
