DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents and local businesses have a chance to support the Danvers Police Department's D.A.R.E. program at the department's annual golf tournament.
The event is scheduled for a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start at Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton on Sept. 14. Proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit Danvers D.A.R.E. program initiatives.
The event is both a fundraiser and a community day on the course. The D.A.R.E. program has positively impacted generations of Danvers students through education, decision-making skills and positive relationships with law enforcement.
Registration is open online for individual golfers and foursomes. The listed cost is $200 for an individual golfer and $800 for a foursome.
Registration includes a registration gift, 18 holes of golf with a cart in a scramble format, a banquet-style luncheon, contest holes, raffles and other activities.
Businesses and individuals can also participate through sponsorships. The gold sponsor level is $900, which includes one foursome, a business name displayed on a flag at one of the 18 holes and sponsor recognition.
A silver sponsorship is $300 and includes a business name displayed on a flag at one of the 18 holes and sponsor recognition.
A bronze sponsorship is listed at $150 and includes sponsor recognition.
There is also a Good Neighbor Sponsor option. People who donate a raffle prize or gift certificate will receive a Certificate of Appreciation recognizing their support of the Danvers D.A.R.E. Golf Tournament.
