Danvers Resident Named Bridgewell Senior VP of Operations

PEABODY, MA — Bridgewell, a nonprofit social and human services organization serving northeastern Massachusetts, has appointed Danvers resident Joanna Huntington as Senior Vice President of Operations.

In the role, Huntington will oversee Bridgewell's operational divisions and work closely with the executive team. The nonprofit said her responsibilities will include ensuring consistency across programs, strengthening operational excellence, supporting organizational leaders and advancing strategic priorities.

Huntington has been with Bridgewell for more than a decade and has held several leadership roles during that time.

Most recently, she served as Vice President of Housing, Recovery and Community Supports, where Bridgewell said she oversaw multidisciplinary programs and helped facilitate program expansion.

The organization also said Huntington stepped into the Interim Clinic Director role for Bridgewell Counseling Services in Lowell. In that position, she supported clinic operations, provided supervision and helped ensure continuity of care, according to the announcement.

Before that, Huntington served as Clinical Director of the Women's Recovery Program at Johnson Street and Director of Housing and Recovery Services. Bridgewell said she has more than 25 years of experience delivering behavioral health, housing, recovery and community-based services.

"Joanna has shown exceptional leadership and commitment in each of her high-level roles at Bridgewell, consistently stepping up to empower our staff and the individuals who we serve," said Bridgewell President and CEO Christopher Tuttle. "The programs she oversees have continued to grow and evolve while maintaining a strong focus on quality and innovation. Joanna has long been a valuable member of our team, and I look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes in this new role."

Huntington said the new position aligns with the work she has focused on throughout her career.

"I have dedicated my career to building strong systems of care that support individuals of all ages and I am thrilled that it has brought me here: serving Bridgewell in this new capacity," said Huntington. "I am committed to supporting staff in delivering the care necessary for individuals to lead self-directed lives and working with leadership to develop and maintain the infrastructure to make that possible."

Huntington earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in social work from Salem State University.

She is also a licensed independent clinical social worker and a certified school social worker.
