Grand Funk Railroad To Rock The Stage At 208th Topsfield Fair

The band is set to take the Grandstand stage on Oct. 7, with the show included in paid fair admission.

TOPSFIELD, MA — Classic rockers Grand Funk Railroad will be on the North Shore this fall as one of the featured performers at the 208th Topsfield Fair.

The band is set to take the Grandstand stage at 7 p.m. on Oct. The show is free with paid fair admission.

Grand Funk Railroad has released six platinum and seven gold-certified albums. Organizers said the band is expected to play songs including "We're an American Band," "I'm Your Captain (Closer to Home)," "Some Kind of Wonderful," "Walk Like a Man," "The Loco-Motion," "Bad Time," and "Shinin' On."

"Grand Funk Railroad last performed at the Topsfield Fair in 2016," said James O'Brien, General Manager, Topsfield Fair. "I know a lot of people are excited to have the opportunity to see them again and many others are looking forward to seeing them for the first time at the Fair."

Admission to the 2026 Topsfield Fair is $20 per person each day, according to the announcement. Discount admission tickets are available online here through Oct. 1, 2026, for $15 plus a $3 convenience fee.

Those discount tickets are valid on any day during the fair's 11-day run.

A three-day pass is also available for $42 plus a $3 convenience fee, according to the announcement. The pass is valid for any three days of the fair. Children under 8 are admitted free with an adult admission ticket.
