Topsfield Fair Warns Vendors Of Gmail Booking Scam

The Fair said a person or group is using a Fair employee's identity to solicit false booking fees from vendors.

TOPSFIELD, MA — Topsfield Fair officials are raising the red flag about a scam involving vendor bookings for this year's 208th event.

Officials said a person or group had obtained an employee's name and was using that to communicate via a Gmail account with current and potential vendors.

"At this time, we highly recommend that any vendor who believes they have secured space at the 2026 Topsfield Fair please contact the Fair office directly at 978-887-5000," officials said on a statement released on Tuesday morning.

This year's Topsfield Fair runs from Oct. 2 through Oct. 12.
