Danvers is in the spotlight too, with Mrs. Essex County 2026, Clarice Menesale of Danvers, hosting the children's pageant and helping represent the fair at local events. The fair runs through Oct. 12 with concerts, shows, and family attractions.
   

• 18-year-old from Lynn accused of stabbing woman to death due back in court - Boston News, Weather, Sports (whdh.com) — Danvers residents following the killing of 68-year-old Janet Swallow will see the accused, 18-year-old Anthony DeMayo of Lynn, back in court Monday for a status hearing. Prosecutors say he broke into her Danvers home in March and fatally stabbed her, and a judge previously ruled him incompetent to stand trial.
