The Danvers Historical Society is inviting the public to come see as many as 50 holiday tree and wreath displays as part of its annual Parade of Trees fundraiser in December.
The DHS said NorthEast Community Bank will support its 2026 Parade of Trees fundraiser as a Platinum Sponsor.
The event is scheduled for Dec. 2 through Dec. 6 at Tapley Memorial Hall on Page Street in Danvers.
The trees and wreaths are decorated by local individuals, businesses and civic groups. Displays include gift certificates and other contributions, which are raffled at the conclusion of the event.
Proceeds will provide major underwriting support for the free programming offered by the Danvers Historical Society throughout the year.
NorthEast Community Bank was founded in 1934 as a community bank with a mission to help families and businesses prosper in its service communities, according to the announcement. The bank's service areas now include Danvers, Framingham and Quincy, as well as eight locations in New York.
Leonel Espinal, branch manager of NECB's Danvers office, said the sponsorship reflects the bank's local focus.
"As a top provider of responsive banking services in the Danvers area, NorthEast is firmly committed to contributing to the good of the communitym" Espinal said. "We are pleased to be able to support our longtime customer, the Danvers Historical Society, in their important work."
Parade of Trees Committee Chairperson Joyce Cranford said the event helps launch the holiday season while raising money for the society's work.
"The Parade of Trees offers a wonderful, festive way to begin the holiday season," Cranford said. "We invite local businesses to join NorthEast Community Bank in sponsoring the event, or perhaps donating a decorated tree, wreath or gift certificate."
Those interested in making a donation can go here and click on Parade of Trees on the info bar for forms and information to answer any questions you might have.
The deadline to donate a tree or wreath is Nov. 4th.
The Danvers Historical Society was founded in 1889 as a private not-for-profit organization dedicated to discovering, collecting and preserving objects that illustrate the history, development and people of Danvers.
