Another Week of Spring Leaf Collection Starts Monday

If you have more leaves and yard waste to dispose of, you're in luck -- another week of spring curbside collection starts Monday and there's no extra charge.

Residents can leave their yard waste and leaves at the curb in paper bags or barrels on their normal trash pickup day. Branches and twigs can be bundled together, but no yard waste in plastic bags will be accepted.

If you miss your collection day this week, you can also haul the bags and barrels over to the Transfer Station between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

You do need to purchase a $15 Brush Sticker at the Town Clerk's office at Town Hall or at the Department of Public Works' Business Division on 2 Burroughs St. The sticker is for unlimited brush/yard waste disposal and is valid for 2013.

The town says that due to the volume of yard waste being put out, collection may run late, so leave your yard waste out and it will be collected the next day.
