Baseball Continues Winning Streak in Peabody
Two runs in the third inning gave Danvers a lead it held onto for the rest of the night, keeping the Peabody Tanners at 0 on the scoreboard.
It was a beautiful night for baseball Friday, just not Peabody’s night despite the home field advantage.
The Danvers Falcons came to town and notched another win, 2-0, scoring both runs in the third inning. Danvers improved to 11-1, but was then handed its second loss of the season Sunday night against Beverly. The Falcons and Panthers kept it tied up at three midway through the game until Beverly gained five runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Falcons clawed back, scoring four, to finish the game, 8-7.
The Danvers boys now face Salem in Witch City Monday at 4 p.m.
