Bella Sera Bridal Helps Local Food Pantry with Food Bucket Challenge

Local Business Uses Social Media to Help Charitable Cause

The Food Bucket Challenge by Bella Sera Bridal boutique in Danvers draws attention to the need for food donations at local pantries. The recent Market Basket boycott left many shelves empty (they were a major donor to the pantries) and, despite the resolution, they are still struggling to fill the need. Bella Sera co-owners Lisa Almeida and Heidi Nicholson decided to take the popularity of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and give it a new twist that would help bring much needed donations to the Danvers Food Pantry and invited other area business owners to join them. You can see their challenge on their Facebook page. Heidi Nicholson spoke about the challenge with Steve Aveson on NECN’s The Morning Show.
