DANVERS, MA — A snow emergency parking ban was set to go into effect on Sunday afternoon ahead of blizzard conditions expected overnight into Monday.
Up to 20 inches of snow was forecast for the North Shore, along with 60 mph wind gusts and possible flooding.
Danvers Public Schools are closed on Monday, with all afternoon and evening events canceled.

The parking ban will remain in effect until all winter operations related to the coming storm are completed, according to Danvers DPW.
Trash collection will be delayed one day throughout the week, with Friday's collection occurring on Saturday.
