All Saints Episcopal Church Of The North Shore Emerges As Official Name Of The Two, Newly Blended Episcopal Churches On The North Shore

All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore is the new name of Calvary Episcopal Church, Danvers, and St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Peabody, as the two parishes come together to worship,

Calvary Episcopal Church, Danvers, and St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Peabody, will begin worshipping together as All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore, beginning Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.

The new name was selected by both parishes to represent the new, blended church that will currently be housed at the existing church at 46 Cherry St. in Danvers, as plans for the official merger between the two churches continue.

The naming of All Saints Episcopal Church resulted after an exciting, well-publicized naming contest that attracted submissions from all over the Commonwealth and as far away as New Hampshire, Maine and Virginia.

Nearly 80 names, plus additional variations, were submitted, and of the total submissions, both parishes selected six names as finalists. A final vote on those finalists resulted in All Saints as the clear winner.

The newly named church now boasts a new logo and website at http://www.allsaintsepiscopalnorthshore.org. The parish office phone number is 978-774-1150.

All Saints Episcopal Church will be serving the Danvers and Peabody communities as well as all the surrounding communities, with its robust outreach ministries offerings, including Haven for Hunger, Welcome Table, Lifebridge, Food Pantry, the Elder Ministry, the Perfect Paws Pet Ministry, the Brazilian Ministry, the annual Foster Kids Christmas party, the Prayer Shawl, Knitting and Quilting Ministries, the Book Club, Senior Lunch, Garden Ministry, Let's Talk speakers' series on ethics, spirituality and conscience, and the Giving Tree -- an initiative designed to provide Christmas gifts for homeless children.
