Danvers Babe Ruth Well Into Exciting Season

Despite all of the rain, Danvers Babe Ruth is well into its spring season.  This year Danvers and Peabody have been playing in a combined league consisting of 6 teams in the 13 year old Prep division and 9 teams in the 14/15 year old Major division. 

With 53 games completed, Peabody teams hold the edge in the Major Division with a total of 18 combined wins as compared to 14 wins for Danvers teams, while in the Prep division, Danvers holds the advantage with 12 wins compared to 9 for the Peabody squads. 

It has been quite an exciting season with 20 games decided by two runs or fewer.

 The regular season continues until June 16^th and will be followed by a playoff tournament in each town and a three game intertown championship series scheduled for June 26^th, June 29^th and June 30^th.
