Danvers Idol Seeks Singers and Big Prizes This Year

The Danvers Family Festival is excited to announce the 2013 Danvers Idol.

With the publicity surrounding the success of Beverly’s Angie Miller, and with the addition of fabulous prizes, we are sure this year’s event will be our biggest yet.

Preliminaries will be held on Saturday June 15^th at the DCAT studios in Danvers. 10 Finalists will be chosen to perform on Friday June 28^th at the newly renovated Danvers High School Auditorium.

A panel of esteemed judges including Erika Van Pelt (an American Idol finalist), a well-known national recording start, and local musical dignitaries will be judging the finals. The audience will participate in the first round of voting to narrow the field to 3. This three will perform the same evening and one will be crowned the 2013 Danvers Idol.

All 10 will receive sponsored prizes, the third place winner will also receive $100 prize, second prize will receive $150, and first prize will get $500, recording studio time, and a chance to sing before the 20,000 to 40,000 people at the July 3^rd Danvers Family Festival Fireworks.
