DHS Softball Rolls Into Semi-Finals of State Tournament

The Danvers High School Softball Team has played its way to two big wins this week to advance to the state tournament semi finals.

On Thursday they beat Tewksbury 9-3. In that game, they spotted Tewksbury 3 runs in the top of the first. Danvers came back with 3 runs in the third inning to tie the score. In the 6th, Danvers erupted for 6 runs to go up 9-3 to put the game away.

On Sunday they beat Amesbury 2-0. The only scoring coming in the second inning when the Falcons score their two runs. This game was all about pitching and defense for Danvers,

With the 2 wins, It puts the Falcons into the Semi Finals against either Dracut (#1 seed) or Arlington (#8 seed) later this week for a trip to the Division 2 State Final.
