Save Whipple Hill

Letter to the editor from Danvers resident Eileen Harriss.

There is land on top of Whipple Hill that is owned by St. Mary's Church (behind the cemetery on Hobart Street).

It was brought to our attention that St. Mary's (the Archdiocese ) is considering selling it. We would like it to stay Green Space. But if it falls in the hands of a contractor more houses (17) could be built up there. We need to act on this as soon as possible and let the townspeople know that we risk losing more Green Space and wildlife in town.

Every one interested should make an effort to show up for tonight's (May 21) selectmen's meeting and/or to the conservation meeting on Thursday night (May 23). They are both at the Town Hall and at 7 p.m.
