Senior Circuit Breaker Credit, Are you eligible for up to $1000 refund?

You may qualify for this credit up to $1000 is refundable to you for tax season 2012.

The Senior Circuit Breaker Credit is giving by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue only.  You would need to file a Massachusetts return even if your not required to file in order to receive this refundable credit. 

Certain Massachusetts senior citizens may be eligible to claim this refundable credit on their state income taxes for the real estate taxes paid on the Massachusetts residential property they own or rent and which they occupy as their principal residence.
