Care Dimensions Announces New VP & Chief Development Officer

Care Dimensions, the largest hospice and palliative care provider in Massachusetts, is excited to announce the hiring of Heather Johnston as its new Vice President & Chief Development Officer. In this role, Johnston will plan and execute strategies to enhance Care Dimensions’ fundraising capabilities in support of its mission of providing expert, compassionate care to people with serious illness.

“Heather brings decades of experience raising funds for a variety of non-profits,” said Care Dimensions President and CEO, Dr. Stephanie Patel, M.D. “Her proven track record in healthcare philanthropy and leadership will be instrumental in meeting the needs of our patients and families."

Johnston’s career includes positions at Easter Seals and Habitat for Humanity, as well as local health care and social service agencies. She has also held leadership board roles in both the New England Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.

The philanthropic team at Care Dimensions, which Johnston will now lead, oversees a range of initiatives, from special events like the Walk for Hospice and Tree of Lights ceremonies to grants and annual fundraising appeals.

Johnston holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Originally from Danvers, she now lives with her family in Beverly.
