Connaughton, Haladyna Nominated for FOX 25 Team

basketball stars Pat Connaughton and Steve Haladyna are among 10 players nominated for the 2011 All FOX 25 High School Friday basketball team. Connaughton, who is bound for Notre Dame, is graduating this May. Haladyna is a junior.

“We nominated 10 of the top boys players in Eastern Massachusetts who outshined all the rest on the court, now we need your help narrowing the list down to five. Help us choose the Boys All FOX 25 Basketball Team,” says FOX 25.

FOX announced the nominees on Friday night during regular news broadcasts and invited viewers to vote for the five players who will ultimately represent the FOX 25 team. Voting is open until April 17 at noon and the final five will be honored in a live studio broadcast on April 22 during the 6 p.m. news.

The other nominees are Jaylen Alicea (Lawrence), Jake Layman (King Philip), Michael Lofton (Mansfield), Joey Glynn (Cardinal Spellman), Marco Coppola (Watertown), Jimmy Zenevitch (Central Catholic), Richard Rodgers (St. John’s Shrewsbury) and Kachi Nzerem (New Mission).
