Using gentle yoga and guided imagery, yoga instructor Ariela HaLevi led a group of women in an exploration of the theme of thanksgiving in preparation for the upcoming Festival of Sukkot at the Lappin Foundation’s free program, Movement for Your Jewish Soul. The program, now in its second year, has a loyal following and is open and welcoming to new members. “Ariela HaLevi’s soulful teaching helps women to connect with the spiritual aspect of Jewish holidays through this program,” said Deborah Coltin, Lappin Foundation’s executive director. “Ariela wakes up our souls and shows us how to celebrate the holidays more fully and with more joy,” added Coltin.
Hanukkah and the theme of dedication will be the topic at the next Movement for Your Jewish Soul on Monday, December 8, 7 pm at Woodbridge Assisted Living, 240 Lynnfield St., Peabody. For more information or to register for the program contact Sharon Wyner at 978-565-4450 or email swyner@lappinfoundation.org. Walk-ins are welcome.
