Danvers 3-Month Water Main Project Set To Begin On Monday

The Department of Public Works said the project will include the installation of new water mains, fire hydrants and valves on Locust Street.

DANVERS, MA — A three-month project to install new water mains, fire hydrants and valves on Locust Street is set to begin on Monday.

The Danvers Department of Public Works said the project will take place between Betsy's Way and Worthington Avenue and is designed to improve the service and reliability of the municipal water distribution system.

Detours may be in place with detour signage posted directing traffic toward Popular and Wenham Streets to avoid the work zone area. Motorists should plan for delays and detours in the area after work starts.

On-street parking will not be allowed during work days from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with "No Parking" signs posted.
