Danvers Author Contests for Spot in Reader's Digest

Danvers resident Kathleen Burt is running for a spot in Readers Digest.

Could you write a story about life in just 150 words?

Danvers resident, author Kathleen Burt has, and her short story is trending as a submission contesting to be published in Reader's Digest.

Although Burt's story is competing against thousands of others, if she is selected she will be published in Reader's Digest, as well as receiving a $25,000 cash prize.

In a mere 150 words, Burt's story, titled Reflecting, recounts her feelings on life in the wake of the ten-year anniversary of 9/11. 

The contest's theme, "Your Life, the Reader's Digest Version," is part of the the company's "continual effort to enrich and simplify Americans’ lives."
