Danvers CARES 'Light The Night Purple' Event To Celebrate Recovery
The event is free and open to the public, with T-shirts available while they last.
DANVERS, MA — North Shore residents are invited to the annual Danvers CARES "Light The Night Purple" event to celebrate recovery, promote healing and lift the stigma surrounding substance abuse.
The night will include stories of recovery, information on treatment and how to seek help for yourself, friends and loved ones, music, a walk of solidarity, and illumination at the Peabody Institute Library.
The event is free and open to the public, with T-shirts available while they last.

The walk route is about one mile, beginning in the library rotary pavilion. It will then proceed down Elm Street to High School to Danvers Square, the Rail Trail, to the rotary and back to the library.
The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. with the walk taking place at 7:30.
