Danvers Couple Charged with Leading Heroin Ring to Fight Charges

DANVERS, MA — Four people charged with working for a North Shore heroin ring have either taken or are in the process of taking deals while a Danvers couple is fighting the charges.

Luis Santana, also known as Richard Castillo, and his wife Illona Castillo, of Danvers want to know who gave information to investigators,according to the Salem News. The two were among six who were charged on several drug charges earlier this year.

In court, attorneys for the couple argued that they are entitled to the information because of a pending conspiracy charge. Judge Timothy Feeley denied the request.
