Danvers Crash Causes Emergency Water Service Disruption For Hours
The Department of Public Works said water service was expected to remain off throughout the morning.

DANVERS, MA — A Wednesday morning crash caused hours of traffic and water disruption in the area of Endicott Street in Danvers.
The Danvers Department of Public Works said the Water responded to an "emergency situation" following a crash that resulted in water loss on Endicott Street and neighboring roads.

Crews were working to make repairs as of mid-Wednesday morning.
Danvers DPW said service would not be restored in time for morning activities and was "expected to be out for several more hours" as of about 7 a.m.

UPDATE: The Danvers Flip The Bird location posted on social media that water had been restored and that it had been given the clearance to reopen at about 11:45 a.m.
"We understand the inconvenience this causes and appreciate your patience as crews work as quickly and safely as possible," Danvers DPW said.
