Danvers Electric Open House Set For Thursday

Those attending can ride in a bucket truck, see a "high-voltage" demonstration and be eligible for a $50 electric bill discount.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents and families are invited to take part in an interactive demonstration, learn more about their municipal power company and perhaps get a discount on their utility bill at the third annual Danvers Electric Open House on Thursday.

The open house will run from 4 to 7 p.m. in the rear lot of the 2 Burroughs Street location.

Those attending can ride in a bucket truck, decorate a bucket truck-shaped cookie, get a bucket truck temporary tattoo, watch a "high-voltage" demonstration, get an up-close view of town electric-powered vehicles, watch a pole-climbing exhibition and enjoy snacks and beverages.

Those attending will also be entered into a raffle for $50 off their utility bill.

The open house is part of Public Power Week.
