Danvers Falcon Named Patch Football Player of the Week

DANVERS, MA — Week 2 of high school football is in the books and Danvers enters the new week with a record of 2-0.

Coming off a stellar performance, Matt Andreas has been named one of Patch's players of the week by Patch high school sports correspondent Bob Holmes.

"Unlike the first week win over Winthrop, there was no need for late heroics in the Falcons' 30-14 win over Lynnfield. Andreas scored two touchdowns as Danvers improved to 2-0 on the young season," Homes wrote.

The Falcons are back in action on Sept. 23 vs Marblehead.
