Danvers Farmers' Market is 'Booming'

Danvers Town Manager Steve Bartha is pleased that the inagural season of the Danvers Farmers’ Market is off to a successful start.

“Our farmers’ market is booming,” Bartha said. “Some of our vendors said they are doing more business here than in (the farmers’ market) Salem.“

Bartha said the town is a farming community at heart, and the downtown market makes sense. He said Bill Nolan of the Danvers Rotary Club, deserves a lot of the credit for establishing the market.

The season began in June, and it is already Week 6. 

The Danvers Rotary Farmer’s Market will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 10, in the parking lot adjacent to Northeast Community Bank and across from Town Hall, 1 Sylvan Street.

The entertainment for Week 6 is the “Black Hat Project.”

The market will have over 20 vendors.
