Danvers Gets Spot In Baseball Hall Of Fame
An exhibit contains an artifcat presumably left by a Danvers resident in a memorial in the days following the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

DANVERS, MA -- A new display at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY includes a wink to Danvers. The City of Boston Archive donated items left at the site of the 2013 Boston Marathon to the Hall of Fame for an exhibit commemorating baseball's role in broader American culture. One of those items is a green, David Ortiz tee shirt with "DANVERS LOVES BOSTON" written in magic marker across the top.
"After the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, many turned to baseball to express their solidarity with the victims," a placard accompanying the shirt reads. "Thousands left items, like this shirt, at the scene's makeshift memorial."
In a Facebook group for Danvers residents, there's a push to try to figure out who left the shirt on Boylston Street in the days following the bombing. So far, no one is claiming ownership of the shirt.
