Danvers High Drama Fest Entry Makes Semifinals

The student-written production "And Everything In Between" will be performed at the Holten-Richmond Middle School Thursday night before the Danvers High cast competes in the semifinal round of the state Drama Festival.

The Danvers High entry into this year’s state Drama Fest has made it to the semifinal round of competition once again. DHS thespians will perform against five other high schools at the Bromfield School in Harvard on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with their play “And Everything In Between.”

The production, which was actually scripted from scratch by the cast over the fall, follows the stories of 12 people’s relationships over one year through friendships, family and romances. The theater students are members of the Danvers High School Academy Theatre Society (ACTS), which is the official theater organization of DHS and puts on three shows each school year under the direction of Kyla Fallon.

This fall’s drama was a tale of zombies, there is the 40-minute entry into the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild competition and there will be a musical in late spring.
