Danvers High School Academy Theatre Announces Full Comedy Lineup for September 24 "Laughing Out Loud" Fundraiser

DHS ACTS "Laughing Out Loud" Fundraiser on September 24 features comedians Paul Gilligan, Mike Donovan, and Paul D'Angelo

Tickets are available now for the comedy event of the fall season, “Laughing Out Loud: A Night of Comedy with Paul Gilligan, Mike Donovan, and Paul D’Angelo.” The Danvers High School Academy Theatre (DHS ACTS) will hold its fall fundraiser on Saturday, September 24, from 6:30 PM to 11 PM at the Ferncroft Country Club’s brand-new event venue. The evening includes a cocktail hour, dinner, silent and live auctions, and a comedy showcase featuring a trio of top comedians with Boston-area ties. Tickets are now for sale online, at http://www.ticketstage.com/T/DHS. (No tickets will be sold at the door.)

Individual tickets for the DHS ACTS fundraiser are $75; you may also reserve tables of 10. There are also multiple sponsorship opportunities available, including Presenting Sponsorship ($1500) and Table Sponsorship ($1000) levels. Under the guidance of Director Kyla Moulton, Technical Director Tracie Ewing, and Music Director Alex Grover, the cast and crew of Danvers High School students put on several shows each academic year, and have successfully competed in the state finals of the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild’s (METG) Drama Festival the past two years. The DHS ACTS 2016-2017 season will feature “Bye, Bye, Birdie” as the fall musical, and competition in the METG Drama Festival in the spring, among other events.
