Danvers Historical Society Announces Ten New Board Members

Danvers Historical Society elected ten new members to its Board of Trustees, announces the slate of officers and trustees for fiscal year

At the Annual Members Meeting Thursday, October 12th, The Danvers Historical Society elected ten new members to its Board of Trustees, and announces the entire slate of officers and trustees for fiscal year 2018.

Joining the Board of Trustees are Susan Ambrozavitch, Ingrid Barry, Louann Basillio, Sandra Biondo, Ellen Graham, Nellie Homen, Joann MacInnis, David M. McIntire, Lucas Noble, and Nancy Rexford.

President of the Society, Thomas M. Page thanked the retiring trustees for their dedication, valuable time, and expertise benefiting the Society. Retiring board members are John Call, Dr. Wayne Comeau, Sheila Cooke-Kayser, Richard Moody, Sheila Moulton-Kelly, George Saluto, Dr. Anthony Patton, Sharon Taskey, and Richard Trask.

Mr. Page is “honored and privileged to serve along with my fellow Trustees. With their assistance, the Danvers Historical Society will convey a sincere sense of historical tradition, pride and relevancy. By having a deep understanding of social responsibility for all demographics of our community, we will provide quality educational and cultural programming for all ages. I am confident about the future of the Society. Each board member is extremely professional and individually motivated; each of them understands the challenges ahead, and their individual skills correspond to the needs of the Danvers Historical Society. With the experience and creative professional skills of our new Board, in coordination with our partnered organizations, one cannot help to be excited about the future of our Society.”

Danvers Historical Society is a non-sectarian, non-profit organization open to all. Our mission is to educate about, and preserve our unique national heritage by preserving artifacts, documents, and significant Danvers structures and properties, and by conducting educational and publication programs, lectures and other events.
