Danvers To Hold Election May 2, Opts Out Of Universal Vote-By-Mail
The town will hold one day of early, in-person voting on April 22 at Danvers Town Hall.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers will not send vote-by-mail ballots to residents but will have one day of early, in-person voting for the annual town election set for May 2.
The Danvers Select Board on Tuesday voted to opt out of the no-excuse, vote-by-mail system that has been in place for statewide elections since 2020 and will become the standard for all elections starting in 2024. Local elections, which tend to have lower turnouts, have not been subject to the universal vote-by-mail requirements for town and city clerk's offices.
Danvers residents will still be able to request absentee ballots via mail for the May 2 election.
