Danvers To Host Candid Conversation On Race Relations

The virtual discussion will focus on having honest and truthful conversations between races.

DANVERS, MA — An honest and truthful conversation on race will be the subject of the virtual "Tell Me The Truth: Exploring the Heart of Cross-Racial Conversations" in Danvers.

The Danvers Human Rights & Inclusion Committee will present the Zoom forum with speakers Debby Irving and Shay Stewart-Bouley on Nov. 17 at 6:30 with an optional in-person viewing event.

"How can we speak openly and honestly in cross-racial conversations?" organizers said. "What would such a conversation even look like? Shay Stewart-Bouley and Debby Irving share the challenges and opportunities they come across in their own cross-racial friendship and how authentic conversation helps shape their understanding of 21st-century racial dynamics — and of themselves."
