Danvers Jiu Jitsu Instructor took 2nd place in South Carolina

Aniss El Hajjajy​ took 2nd place in the Charleston Summer International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu​ Championship.

Professor Aniss Overcame Multiple Lacerations to take 2nd Place at the Charleston Summer International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2021.

Local Danvers Jiu Jitsu Instructor, Aniss El Hajjajy, competed at the Charleston Summer International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2021 at the Charleston Area Convention Center - "Hall C"500 Coliseum Dr., North Charleston, SC 29418 on August 21st - 22nd.

Before the tournament Aniss El Hajjajy went surfing at Folly Beach. There were rip currents and rough surf from Hurricane Henri that sucked him out to the pier. Professor Aniss suffered lacerations on his hands, left arm, legs and foot while holding on to sharp sea shell covered posts.

Aniss El Hajjajy took 2nd place in the Male / Master 3 / Black Belt / Middleweight division.

"Over the weekend I had an accident that tore up my arms, fingers and legs in Charleston. I still aim for gold no matter the injuries but came up short. 2nd place in my division. Minor setback for major comeback." - Aniss El Hajjajy
