Danvers To Light Up Town Tree During Holiday Festival

The Holiday Festival will run from 2 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 4.

DANVERS, MA —The Danvers holiday tree is ready and awaiting the start of the season of giving.

Danvers officials said the tree arrived this week and was in place as of Monday. Over the next week, the Danvers Garden Club will do some decorating ahead of the lights going on during the town's Holiday Festival.

The Holiday Festival is set for 2 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 4 at Danvers Square.

The festival will include performances from the Danvers High chorus and band, music with a DJ, a guest visit from Elsa and Anna and, of course, a pop in from Santa Claus himself at East Boston Savings Bank from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

Local businesses will be offering discounts, giveaways and raffles.

Santa will then assist the Danvers Fire Department with the lighting of the tree at 5 p.m.
