Danvers Man Up for Cambridge City Manager Opening

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Danvers resident and Housing and Economic Development Secretary Jay Ash is among three finalist for the Cambridge city manager position.
During a Cambridge City Council meeting Wednesday night, Ash told the council that the city could do more to work with the state to bring in business, according to State House News via the Salem News.
Also up for the job is Cambridge Assistant City Manager Louis DePasqual and Asheville, N.C. Assistant City Manager Paul Fetherston.

In Cambridge, the city manager oversees city operations while the mayor, who is a member of the council, is the head of the legislative body.
The council is expected to hold a vote to pick their next city manager on Sept. 29.
