Danvers Man Charged With Beating Nine-Month-Old Son
Andrew Ambrose, 38, of 52 Poplar Street, has been held without bail since his initial court appearance on June 13.

DANVERS, MA -- An Essex County grand jury indicted Andrew Ambrose, 38, of 52 Poplar Street, on two counts of assault and battery on a child causing bodily injury. Ambrose allegedly injured his nine-month-old son during a supervised visit on June 5. The second indictment stems from a March 21 incident.
Both attacks are believed to have occurred in Salem, according to the Salem News, which first reported this story. The Department of Children and Families office in Salem contacted Salem Police after the June 5 incident. At the time, the office was investigating the March incident.
