Danvers Meets Big Blue and Splits
The Danvers girls had an especially close meet, edging Swampscott 73-63, while the Big Blue boys ran on all cylinders, taking the meet 91-36.
Danvers girls’ track coach Sean Dunleavy knew he was in for a tough meet against a deep and talented Big Blue team, but the Danvers Falcons prevailed, scoring big wins in the 100m, 200m, the high hurdles and the long jump.
The Falcons swept the 400 meters.
“The four hundred was key for us,” Dunleavy said. “It was a good meet and to be expected.”
