Danvers Mother, Toddler Hospitalized After Apartment Fire
Multiple reports said the mother and 2-year-old inhaled smoke from a kitchen fire in a River Road apartment Wednesday night.
DANVERS, MA — A Danvers mother and her 2-year-old son were taken to Salem Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation following an apartment fire on River Drive on Wednesday night.
According to multiple media reports, Danvers fire crews arrived at the smoky scene and found the mother and son inside their home with visible signs of smoke distress. WFTX-TV reported that the family was helped outside where the mother collapsed.
The pair was reportedly in good condition Thursday morning.

Danvers fire crews were able to extinguish the fire late Wednesday night. No other injuries were reported.
