Danvers Police Annual Fall Food Drive Set For Saturday

The "Stock the Pantry" drive is set for the Stop & Shop on Newbury Street from 9 a.m. to noon.

DANVERS, MA — The Danvers Police Department will host its annual fall food drive at the Stop & Shop on Newbury Street on Saturday.

Department members will collect non-perishable food items to benefit the Danvers People to People Food Pantry and local families ahead of the holiday season.

The "Stock the Pantry" food drive will run from 9 a.m. to noon at 301 Newbury Street.

Patch has partnered with Feeding America to help raise awareness on behalf of the millions of Americans facing hunger. Feeding America, which supports 200 food banks across the country, estimates that in 2020, more than 54 million Americans will not have enough nutritious food to eat due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. This is a Patch social good project; Feeding America receives 100 percent of donations.
