The Monday outage followed a weekend of sporadic outages across the North Shore after a powerful "winter-like" storm pounded the region with winds up to 55 mph, heavy rain and wind chills in the 20s on Saturday.
Nearly 35,000 residents were without power across the state late Saturday morning with much of the outages in the areas of Swampscott, Lynn, Salem and Marblehead. At one point, more than two-thirds of Swampscott residents were in the dark before power was restored mid-afternoon on Saturday.
